Rancher is the leading open-source container management platform, and the first real solution for multi-cloud computing. The Silicon Valley-based software company combines all the necessary components to run containers in production and centrally manage multiple Kubernetes clusters.

Based in Cupertino, California, the team at Rancher reached out to Baunfire to elevate and refresh their brand presence online. With an all-new visual language and refined content strategy, the redesigned Rancher.com demonstrates a more modern approach to building a B2B marketing website.

Clean, open layouts

We built a design system that leverages clean, open layouts to house the rich content throughout the site, presenting key pieces of content in a more digestible way. This also provides a more guided experience online, with clear call-to-actions and global elements that help users navigate from page to page.

Guided product storytelling

We created simple, consistent page templates, making it easier for the team at Benchling to perform updates to the website. From adding new pages to editing blocks of content, we developed a cohesive design system with an intuitive content management experience.

A purposeful color palette

With the purpose of creating an impactful and ownable identity online, we developed a fresh and bold color palette to complement the open, light background of the website.

Simple yet sophisticated

We selected a sophisticated yet friendly type treatment for use throughout the website. Easy-to-read with a touch of personality, various weights help communicate Benchling's brand essence.

Designed with mobile in mind

With an emphasis on mobile-first users, the new Rancher website is built to work seamlessly across mobile, tablet, and desktop devices.
