Plex Systems, a powerhouse global platform with a mission to grow manufacturing through technology, approached Baunfire looking for a sharp redesign of their existing corporate site. By moving away from a traditional corporate feel, Baunfire was able to create a sophisticated experience that captivates visitors from the get-go and makes it easy for them to find relevant information. The Baunfire team achieved this by blending powerful visuals, stand-out formatting, and a transformational navigation system to help focus the customer journey while elevating the Plex brand.

Differentiation through dynamic visual storytelling

Our designers explored various options to create a layout that would best reflect Plex’s spirit of robustness and ingenuity, keeping in mind that the experience was to be exceptional but still familiar enough for customers to understand. Through a process of collaboration, we used Plex’s updated branding to create overlapping elements on that page and reorganize content. The result is an experience that is distinctive yet easy to navigate.

Guiding users through delightful interactions

We were able to streamline Plex’s content-heavy site and create clarity in navigation by paring down text and making it more interactive. On the homepage, for instance, we implemented a drop-down menu with specific client roles so visitors can decide how to experience the site based on their particular needs.

Making elements pop

We utilized Plex’s striking brand colors to emphasize calls to actions and outline visual elements on the page, repeating a motif from the hero animation in order to create consistency and flow throughout the site.

Typefaces with personality

Plex’s eye-catching typefaces are a visual representation of their values—the combination of a thick display font for headlines and a thinner font for body text aligns with a company that has a strong voice in industrial manufacturing as well as a flair for innovation.

Ready for all devices

With a mobile-first audience in mind, the new Plex website is built to work seamlessly across mobile, tablet, and desktop devices.
